CPHS Baseball Booster Club
8th Grade Parents,
We are excited to offer a Select Baseball Program for 8th grade students that will allow baseball players the opportunity to wear the Green and Black of the Timberwolves.  This team will be made up of only 8th grade students that feed Cedar Park HS; to include kids from Cedar Park MS, Running Brushy MS, and Henry MS.  The focus of the team(s) will be to teach future Timberwolves the current coaching philosophies and training techniques.  Playing on a team together will give players an opportunity to be a cohesive unit prior to joining the baseball team at CPHS.
These team(s) are designed as developmental teams under CPHS Baseball standards; however, being in the development program DOES NOT guarantee that a player will make the CPHS squad.  These team(s) will have use of the facilities at CPHS as much as availability allows.
As many of you know there was an 8th grade Timberwolves team last spring season.  The program was a huge success, starting as a new team and ending up winning tournaments at the Major level.  The players got to know one another and learned how to play together.  This was the start of something that will get better and better each year.  Coach Gawriluk has expressed to me that he would like to see the program expand and continue.
The tryout for these team(s) will be early December.  The tentative date is 12/9/17 at 2pm and the site will be the CPHS baseball field (pending rye grass installation).   The spring season runs from March through early June.  The costs associated with the program will be discussed more during the tryouts and again when the team is selected.
The top twelve to thirteen players at the tryouts will be taken for the team.  The plan however, is to take a second team if enough players are available.  Coaches will be chosen at that time (and approved by Coach Gawriluk) if there is a second team.
During the tryouts, we will have at least two independent scorers that will rate and rank each player for spots on the final roster.
My name is Earl Vaughn, I am the manager of the 8th grade Timberwolves baseball team (Team Black) for the spring season.  If you do not know me, I have been a manager of a major level select team (Renegades) for over 5 years.  I am excited to be a part of this program and look forward to spring baseball.
Please email me at timberwolvesbaseball8thgrade@yahoo.com or call/text me at 512-947-8078 for more information.  Rikk Hernandez (last season coach and current program liaison) is also available to answer any questions at rikk4444@ymail.com.

Attention: Incoming Freshmen (Class of 2021)

Interested in playing ball for the green & black next year in High School? Do you love to play baseball?

Come join the 2017 CPHS Timberwolves Summer Baseball Program!

Background: This program is designed to introduce incoming freshman to the game of baseball at the high school level. As a member of the summer program you will have access to the cages, bullpens, and field outside of organized practices and games for the entire summer. The program also introduces the basics of the high school program to give a glimpse into the Cedar Park Standard before the school year begins.

Goal: To give future Timberwolves an arena in which they can continue to learn the game and grow as players while playing with other future Timberwolves.

Schedule: To be determined. Typically, double headers are on played Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 and 7. (This will be dependent on the size of the team and will be communicated at a later date)

Where: Practices are at Cedar Park High School @Jay Sevier Field @ Matt Arellano Park. Games will take place at CPHS and other fields in the central Texas area.

When: Practices will start after the end of the high school season.

Cost: $175 per player. (Subject to change due to games scheduled, umpire costs, etc.)

Coach: The head coach for the 2017 Summer Season is Kevin Brown. He has years of experience with summer and fall programs for CPHS.

Next most popular question: Yes, players can still play for a travel team on the weekends. The summer program is not a replacement for travel ball but an opportunity to play and learn the game with other future Timberwolves.

Our only goal is to raise money to:
•  Allow our players the best opportunity to be the best they can be
•  Allow the CPHS Baseball Program to grow and be the best that it can be
•  Give the players, the fans, and the community a great place to play and watch America's Pasttime
Since the inception of the CPHS Baseball Booster Club in the 2007-2008 school year, funds have been raised to better our playing facilities.  Last year, through generous donations and record level Membership participation we saw the stadium transformed!  We also saw the purchase of a Fungo-Man--a state of the art programmable and automated practice machine designed to let our coaching staff run more efficient practices.

Let's keep supporting our boys!!! Click HERE to join online or HERE to download the form!
